GREEN TRANSITION

For Ellegi there is no innovation without sustainability, there is no progress without ecology.

We know we owe a lot to nature that every day gives us extraordinary elements for the creation of our products. It is our responsibility to know how to process them with respect and commitment, minimizing the environmental impact of our production, at every point, at every stage.

1

NO SOLVENTS AND DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES

By replacing the hazardous substances present in the traditional abrasives with compounds without trace of phenol and styrene, highly risky to health, we have eliminated the contamination risks for the skin and the pungent inhalations of irritating and potentially harmful substances.

2

WASTE DISPOSAL

At the end of their cycle of use, our abrasives can be disposed as non-harmful waste. The remarkable performance, compared to the common silicon carbide abrasives, allows to drastically reduce the disposal costs both for the sludge and the number of abrasive sectors consumed.

3

UNCONTAMINATED WATER

We have reduced the quantity of waste abrasive slurry in the press filters at a level of 40 times lower, significantly improving the quality of the processing water and eliminating the presence of solvent hazard and corrosive salts. In this way we obtain an uncontaminated waste by-product that can be reused.

4

MAXIMUM SAFETY

The polymeric base of our products does not use and does not release intermediates or by-products that are harmful and dangerous for the health of the workers. In this way we can guarantee maximum safety in the working environment at all stages, from the storage to the disposal.

ANALYSIS/TEST

To certify the transparency of all the health information and the absence of harmful substances in the entire production, we have carried out scrupulous laboratory analyzes at qualified chemical research centres:

    • – Our company makes use of the declaration of conformity with regards to the new European regulation on the chemical substances, the regulation (CE) n. 1907/2006 (REACH) entered into force from the 1st June 2007. We can establish the conformity of our finished products: they do not contain substances included in the “Candidate List”.

    • – Analyzes that certify the inexistence of phenol, styrene and other harmful solvents.

  • Analyzes of waste disposal classification.
